Rok Skool is a program for young musicians that uses the band model to instill integrity, cooperation, collaboration and compromise while imparting the social and performance skills necessary to produce professional level performances.

Rok Skool provides young people in our region the opportunity to play music with their peers in an authentic rock band. Band members choose the songs that they play and are encouraged to work out their own parts and arrangements as much as possible in a guided discovery model. While learning the skills necessary to produce quality, musical performances… Core values such as; accountability, integrity, compromise, collaboration. perseverance and respect are instilled at every step.

Rok Skool employs the best music educators the region has to offer. There are currently five different Rok Skool groups; Adult (18+), Varsity (High School), Junior Varsity (Junior High School), and Folk (all ages). All of our groups perform at least two, high profile showcases a year; one before Christmas break and at the annual SunFest youth music festival on the last day of school.

Rok Skool classes are $25 each and Articipate offers scholarships to musicians who would not otherwise be able to participate at www.articipare.net/scholarships. Classes are available year round with 2 sessions - leading up to performances. Session 1 begins in late August and runs through December with a second session beginning in January and running through May.
